How do you become the proud owner of a RABBBR alumni you ask?
Step 1. Submit an adoption application:
The adoption application lets us learn more about you and your home environment. We place dogs in homes that are best suited for their needs. We may take more than one application on a dog, and through the adoption process decide which home the dog will be most comfortable. You can find the link to our adoption application above. Please allow 72 hours before reaching out regarding an application status.
Step 2. Reference Check:
On the adoption application we ask that you provide at least 2 personal references, and a vet reference if you have current animals in your home. During part of the approval process, we will contact your personal references, and your vet to check and make sure the animals you currently have are up to date on shots. To help expedite the processing of your application give your vet permission to speak to us and let your references know we will be calling.

Once your reference check is complete we will schedule a time to come out to your home and meet the whole family. We ask that everyone who will be living in the home with the dog is present at this time. We answer any questions you may have about bringing a new dog into your home. If you have a current dog in the home, we will conduct a meet and greet with your dog and the adoptable dog as well as any other pets in the home. Depending on how the dogs get along and interact is going to be a factor on the adoption.
Step 4. Final Decision
Once the home delivery and meet and greet is complete, we will decide if the dog is a good fit for your home within 48 hours or less, however in most cases the adoption can be finalized that day/evening. If the meet and greet does not go well, we will keep your approved adoption application on file, and work with you to find a dog in our rescue that is a better match. Our goal is to place these dogs in their forever homes that are best suited for their individual needs!
